The 2011 Estate Reserve is our second Estate Reserve Wine.  Our goal for this wine is to produce an elegant, complex and balanced Howell Mountain Wine.  We blend the best wines made from our different vineyard blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc from our two Howell Mountain Estate Vineyards.  From those best blocks our Winemaker, Duane Dappen, individually selects the best barrels for this complex wine, which then is given time to meld together with further barrel aging.
