We create the Estate Reserve to be an elegant, complex, and balanced Howell Mountain Wine. We blend the best wines made from our different vineyard blocks of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, and merlot from our two Howell Mountain Estate vineyards.  From those best blocks our winemaker individually selects the best barrels for this complex wine, which is blended then given time to meld together with further barrel aging.

Winemaker's Notes: The 2013 Bravante Vineyards Estate Reserve has intense fruit aromas of raspberries and red cherries; this is complexed with sage, cedar and tobacco. The rich body has a lot of smooth tannins with flavors of raspberries, tobacco and cedar with hints of dried herbs and oak. The long complex finish stays with you and begs for another sip.

A dense and juicy red with lots of blackberry and blueberry character that follows through to a full-bodied, tight palate that shows polished and very fine tannin texture. A blend of 77 per cent cabernet sauvignon, 15 per cent cabernet franc and eight per cent merlot. Drink now or hold. 94 Points, James Suckling - November 19, 2018
